5-year-old Milwaukee boy recovering after house fire

MILWAUKEE (AP) - A 5-year-old Milwaukee boy found unresponsive in a house fire two weeks ago is recovering from his injuries at a local hospital.

Emmanuel Onukwugha was rescued by firefighters on Jan. 14 from a blaze on the city's northwest side. Officials said the boy was revived after he was found unconscious and not breathing on the first floor of his home. He was taken to a hospital, where he's being treated for second-degree burns to his face and neck.

His family tells WISN-TV (http://bit.ly/1yU1MFw ) that Emmanuel was moved out of intensive care Saturday night. Family members say he's expected to remain in the hospital for several more weeks.

Emmanuel's mother says she wishes she could meet the firefighter who saved her son.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
