Iowa woman accused of stealing $500,000 from car dealership

CRESTON, Iowa (AP) - A south-central Iowa woman has been accused of stealing more than $500,000 from a local car dealership.

Authorities say 44-year-old Lyndsay Jo Huntsman, of Creston, was arrested Monday on charges of ongoing criminal conduct and five counts of first-degree theft.

According to a news release, police began investigating a report of missing money from a local Ford dealership, Creston Automotive, in October. The investigation determined that more than $500,000 was missing from the dealership's accounts.

No further information has been released. An attorney for Huntsman could not be located.
