Hoffman Estates awards four businesses for being green-friendly

Hoffman Estates recently awarded four of the village's businesses through the Green Business Recognition Program established in 2011.

The recipients of the award for 2014 were Balance Chiropractic and Wellness, at 2500 W. Higgins Road; Chicago Marriott Northwest, at 4800 Hoffman Blvd.; Edward Jones, at 2300 Barrington Road; and the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at 2200 W. Higgins Road.

Hoffman Estates Green Businesses have satisfied multiple criteria that include energy and water efficiency, waste prevention, recycling, transportation, and workplace and community involvement, according to the village.
