Des Plaines candidate forums scheduled
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of Des Plaines is sponsoring three candidate forums for those running in contested city aldermanic races in the April 7 election.
Residents of the 4th, 6th and 7th wards will be able to ask questions of the candidates, either verbally or in writing.
The 4th Ward forum will be held Monday, Feb. 9, at Golf Road Baptist Church, 501 W. Golf Road. The 7th Ward forum will be held Monday, Feb. 16, at the Frisbie Senior Center, 52 E. Northwest Highway.
The 6th Ward forum is scheduled for Monday, March 2, at the Arndt Park Fieldhouse, 1990 White St. A Spanish language interpreter will be provided at that forum.
All events begin at 7 p.m., and doors open at 6:45 p.m.
