Wheeling gets East win at Elk Grove
Wheeling junior Kyle Noel won both sprint freestyles and also contributed a pair of winning relay legs to help the Wildcats top host Elk Grove 112-69 on Friday in a Mid-Suburban East boys swimming dual meet.
Noel had the top 50-yard free (23.29) and 100 free (49.96).
Jake Noel won the 200 IM in 2:05.72; other Wheeling wins came from Ricky Reeve (500 free and 100 back) and Nate Reiff (100 breast).
Senior Colin Williams led Elk Grove with victories in the 200 free (1:48.48) and 100 fly (53.18).
The Grenadiers also put together the winning 200 free relay as Williams combined with Bobby Hlavin, Michael Banasik and Elias Zenkich to win in 1:33.77.
