Parma acquires Uruguay forward Cristian Rodriguez on loan

MADRID (AP) - Italian club Parma has acquired Uruguay forward Cristian Rodriguez on loan from Atletico until the end of the season.

Rodriguez helped Atletico win the Spanish league last season, but has fallen out of Diego Simeone's rotation in this campaign.

Atletico announced the deal late Tuesday.

The 29-year-old Rodriguez played for Uruguay at last summer's World Cup, helping the team reach the round of 16.
