Antioch man charged in Spring Grove residential burglary
A 29-year-old Antioch man faces up to 15 years in prison after his arrest this week in connection with the burglary of a Spring Grove home.
Lake County Sheriff's police said Michael S. Roman, of the 4200 block of North Lake Drive, was arrested Monday as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of break-ins to homes in unincorporated Antioch Township.
Authorities said detectives from the sheriff's office and the Antioch Police Department shared information that led to Roman's arrest.
When taken into custody at 4 p.m. Monday, Roman had items that linked him to a burglary that had just taken place at a home in the 38000 block of North 3rd Avenue in Spring Grove, sheriff's police said.
He is charged with residential burglary, a Class 1 felony punishable by a mandatory four to 15 years in prison, along with two felony counts of theft. Roman is being held in the Lake County jail on $50,000 bail. His next court date is Feb. 23.
