Night life events: Hofbrauhaus fetes 2 years with keg-tapping

Hofbrauhaus turns 2

Hofbrauhaus celebrates its second anniversary with a traditional keg-tapping ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23. The fun continues through the evening with performances by a European "oompah" band, German dancers, Bavarian fare and Hofbrauhaus' beer brewed on-site. The first 500 guests will receive a commemorative magnet.

Champps reopens

Champps celebrates recent renovations with a grand re-opening party kicking off at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29. Patrons can sample Champps' signature dishes, including chicken satay, chipotle burger, ahi tuna taco and calamari. Two dollar drink specials include the grand sangria, island rum punch, Champps Long Island tea and craft beer. Ten percent of the day's sales will benefit St. Baldrick's Foundation.

Fox & Hound benefit

Fox & Hound Schaumburg wants to benefit Ronald McDonald House with a party beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29. For $10, the evening includes a buffet of new and signature menu items through 9 p.m. and two drinks. Drinks include the Irish 'Rita, Kryptonite 'Rita, Vodka Vigilante, Twisted Bitter, Strawberry Blonde, Kendall Jackson chardonnay, Louis Martini Cabernet and draft beer. Proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House.
