Believe Project: $100 to feed the homeless

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Monica Boska of Streamwood.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"I want to feed the homeless, one sandwich at a time. It is such a simple and inexpensive way to make an immediate impact in someone's day. I have been working in the Loop for the last two years and seeing the number of homeless people on the street in the winter does a number on my heart. As a baker, I naturally love feeding people. So I want to help them get to their next meal by providing a sandwich. No one should have to go hungry."

• The Believe Project will mail a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
