US stock market ends slightly higher

NEW YORK (AP) - The U.S. stock market is ending higher, helped by gains in technology companies and airlines.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index edged up three points, 0.2 percent, to close at 2,022 Tuesday.

The Dow Jones industrial average added three points to 17,515.

The technology-heavy Nasdaq climbed 20 points, or 0.4 percent, to 4,654.

Technology companies rose the most among the 10 sectors in the S&P 500 index.

Netflix gained 3.4 percent. Delta Airlines jumped 7.3 percent.

The price of benchmark U.S. crude oil fell $2.30, or 5 percent, to $46.39 a barrel.
