Corron Farm invites families for winter fun

Looking for something fun to do with the family? "Winter Wonders at Historic Corron Farm" will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at the farm, 7N761 Corron Road, Campton Hills.

LL Bean will provide "Snowshoe Basics." Whether you are new to snowshoeing or a seasoned snowshoer, they will teach you some basic techniques to enhance your enjoyment of the sport. Then strap on the snowshoes and see how they feel as you stroll a little bit of the Corron Farm property.

Enjoy the special appearance and nature story reading with the Snow Queen and her Snowman.

Other outdoor activities for children and adults include wagon rides, Bean Boot Toss, Snowman Target Throw, S'mores, and Nature Craft Making. Learn how to shell corn and feed Corron Farm's own goats.

Food and beverage available for purchase from Cindy's Creative Cuisine in St. Charles. Admission is $5 per person or $25 per family. Children under age 3 are admitted free.

This event is hosted by the village of Campton Hills and Campton Township. For more information, visit Corron Farm Preservation Society on Facebook or www.villageofcamptonhills.org.
