REALTORS® Against Homelessness Raises More than $25K for D211 Students

On average, there are roughly 200 students at any given time who are homeless while attending one of the five high schools or two alternative high schools that are part of Township High School District 211.

In early November 2014, REALTORS® Against Homelessness (R.A.H.) held their 4th annual fundraiser. Monies raised are donated to District 211 which in turn provide support services and assistance to students who are classified as homeless.

The event had approximately 200 attendees, and R.A.H. raised more than $25,000, which puts total funds garnered by the organization since it formed in 2011 - at nearly $80,000.

"We are extremely grateful to everyone who contributed to the REALTORS® Against Homelessness fundraiser. Their support allows us and the District 211 Foundation to aid and provide services to students who have been identified as being homeless," said Sue Gould, a R.A.H. founding member.

The district serves the communities of Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Schaumburg, Inverness, and portions of Arlington Heights, Hanover Park, Rolling Meadows, South Barrington, Streamwood, Elk Grove Village and Roselle.
