Believe Project: $100 to help students bundle up for winter

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Mary Fulin of Elgin.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"I am a second-grade teacher in School District U-46 at Otter Creek Elementary School in Elgin. If I received the $100, I would love to use the money to purchase gloves, mittens, hats and scarves for the students at our school who do not have them. With the cold weather, it is important that our preschool children and elementary students dress appropriately. This would be an opportunity for me to help them and their families."

• The Believe Project will mail a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
