Palatine Dist. 15 accepting résumés for board vacancy

Palatine Township Elementary District 15 residents interested in filling a vacant seat on the school board have until 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, to apply.

The school board will choose a new member to complete the term of Richard Bokor, who died from colon cancer Jan. 4. His successor will serve until April 2017.

Applicants must email their résumés to the board secretary, June Becker, at beckerj@ccsd15.net. Applicants should detail how long they have lived in the district, if they have children (past or present) studying in district schools, as well as their community service, knowledge of District 15 issues and educational background.

The board will review the résumés and could interview the hopefuls. The panel is expected to make its appointment on or before its meeting Wednesday, Feb 11.
