Water main break affects Illinois State University campus

NORMAL, Ill. (AP) - Several building on the Illinois State University campus were affected when a water main valve broke and flooded streets.

The (Bloomington) Pantagraph reports (http://bit.ly/1FVy0Fj ) water was shut off to the Bone Student Center, Milner Library, Metcalf Laboratory School and the Bowling and Billiards Center.

Normal Water Director Steve Gerdes says the problem was reported at about 12 p.m. Tuesday and crews were working on repairs.

ISU's campus dining services says restaurants at the student center will be closed through Wednesday. University spokesman eric Jome says testing will have to be done before drinking water and food services are available.
