Barrington Area Conservation Trust to host woodland clean up

The Barrington Area Conservation Trust is hosting a work day on Monday to help restore an oak woodland in Barrington Hills.

The woodland is located at the trust's new Far Field Preserve.

The work day corresponds with the National Day of Service that coincides with Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Those interested in helping make a difference in the natural world are encouraged to call April Anderson at (847) 387-3149 to register.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the trust's office at 210 W. Main St. in Barrington at 11 a.m. Monday. The work day is scheduled to go until 1 p.m.

According to the trust's website, if temperatures dip below 25 degrees the work day will be canceled.
