Library program features high-energy playtime for kids

Wednesday afternoon was anything but sleepy for children who participated in the Not Naptime Hullabaloo program at Cook Park Library in Libertyville.

The music-themed program consists of high-energy playtime and storytime and features a different genre of music each week.

Kids played with a parachute, listened to stories and shook maracas as Ella Fitzgerald music played in the background. The afternoon was capped off with a craft that created snowy scenes with cotton swabs.

The program runs every Wednesday afternoon at Cook Park Library and every Friday morning at Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills.
