Gurnee snow reminder:

Gurnee officials say they want to remind residents it's a violation of local law to shovel snow into the street. In a recent announcement, officials said not only does it work against snow plowing operations by re-introducing snow into cleared and salted streets, but it can also lead to ice buildup on streets. Residents are asked to place snow from driveways, sidewalks and other areas either into the parkway or yard to help avoid creating hazards for traffic and pedestrians.
