Does James regret the move?

The Chicago Bulls had a stinker Wednesday night, losing to the Utah Jazz 97-77 at home. That's OK, though. It happens occasionally and probably will a few more times before the end of the regular-season.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a 19-17 record, realized they needed some new blood and acquired Timofey Mozgov from the Denver Nuggets as well as JR Smith and Iman Shumpert from the New York Knicks.

The East was looking more intimidating to the Cavs than it did initially, and some bigger men were needed if they wanted to compete.

LeBron James, it seems to me, has decided to take a two-week vacation during the season because he's concerned about the minutes on his legs, although the report is his back and left knee are strained.

I think he is regretting his decision to return to Cleveland, and I don't believe a Cavs fan could look me in the eye and say confidently that LeBron will be with the team two or three years from now.

Cleveland is trying to fill a void and get it done now, but the Bulls, the Washington Wizards, the Toronto Raptors and the Atlanta Hawks all seem more playoff ready than the Cavs right now.

Shanahan is my man:

While the Bears will introduce Ryan Pace at their new general manager today, I believe they still need a big name coach. Mike Shanahan, a local guy with three Super Bowl rings, two as a head coach and one as a coordinator, would be my choice.

Shanahan has a history with Jay Cutler and seems to think he is a talented quarterback. His hiring probably would help appease the multitude of unhappy fans and ease the Cutler worries a bit.

I can't blame Shanahan completely for the failure he experienced in Washington because their organization issues have been ongoing and Robert Griffin III still hasn't lived up to the hype even after Shanahan's departure.

While he bears some responsibility for a 24-40 mark there, Washington has been bad since 1999 when Daniel Snyder bought the team. Joe Gibbs, Steve Spurrier and many more have failed.

It's time to bring in a guy with head coach experience, which the Bears rarely do. My vote is for Shanahan.
