Officials: Off-duty Rosemont cop shoots, kills brother-in-law

An off-duty Rosemont police officer shot and killed his brother-in-law following a domestic dispute Wednesday afternoon in Rosemont, officials said. The shooting took place just before noon near Lange Park near the intersection of Scott Street and Granville Avenue. Joseph Caffarello, 31, of Rosemont was pronounced dead a short time later. Many schools still closed due to cold

Medical examiner testifies in murder case

An Antioch woman died almost instantly after a blow to the head lacerated an artery in her skull, a medical examiner testified yesterday during the trial of her longtime boyfriend. Kylie Jenner and TV host/comedian Nick Cannon will appear Friday at the Sugar Factory, the new candy and celebrity-focused restaurant and store in the MB Financial Park entertainment district.
