Perfect 300 pitch from Stevenson's Singer

Leave it to a Singer to provide sweet music for Stevenson's boys bowling team.

Zach Singer rolled the first perfect game in school history, and the Patriots clinched their second consecutive Northern Illinois Boys Bowling Conference championship by defeating Lake Zurich 9-0 at Lakeside Lanes in Mundelein on Tuesday.

Besides his 300, Singer also posted games of 234 and 223. That gave him a 757 series, which was also a school record. Josh Singer rolled a 276 and pair of 203s for a 682 series.

The Patriots' Matt Poetker bowled games of 237, 224 and 196 (657), while Richy Zenner added a 223 game and Michael Aranyi contributed a 200, as Stevenson (3209) shot its fourth-highest team series ever.

Lake Zurich (2984) was led by Ben Madura (696 series/246 high game) and Donny Gross (655/238).
