Local artists join forces for January exhibit in Libertyville

The David Adler Music and Arts Center will host an exhibit featuring eight local artists this month. These artists are members of a new artists' collective tasked with enriching the artistic community in Lake County.

The Adler Member Artists will exhibit together, for the first time, in a special show opening Friday, Jan. 9.

Adler Member Artists were selected for the quality and variety of their work, as well as for their dedication to enriching the artistic community in Lake County. They are regionally and nationally recognized and represent a "who's who" of artists working in the region.

The public is invited to attend a free opening reception celebrating the 2015 Adler Member Artists from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 9 at the David Adler Center.

"The Adler Center is very excited for its First Annual Artists' Members Exhibition," Executive Director Amy Williams said.

"By developing an Adler Artists membership program, the center hopes to attract new artists to exhibit and become involved with the center. Developing an artists' membership program is fundamental to our mission to educate, promote and preserve the arts in this community."

The 2015 Adler Member Artists are: Jim Brooksher, Leisa Corbett, Tanya Facchini, Robert Klunk, Beth McKenna, Susan Russell, Cindi Sartain and Stephanie Toral.

Visit The First Annual Adler Member Artists' Exhibition for free from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Sunday, Jan. 25, at the David Adler Music and Arts Center.
