Missing hunter found in S. Indiana after frigid night alone

STORY, Ind. (AP) - A conservation officer says a missing hunter who spent the night lost in southern Indiana in frigid temperatures has been found along a rural highway.

Conservation officer Jim Hash tells WTHR-TV (http://bit.ly/1wQeeQF ) a passing motorist picked up Jackie Bellinger on Monday morning along State Road 135 in Jackson County.

His condition isn't known.

Bellinger became lost Sunday hours after leaving on a hunting trip in an area south of Brown County State Park about 20 miles southeast of Bloomington.

Hash says Bellinger was trying to get in one last day of deer hunting Sunday before the season ended at sundown Sunday, but he "got disoriented after dark."

Bellinger sent "sporadic texts" Sunday evening to relatives saying he had become lost in the woods before his cellphone battery died early Monday.
