Schaumburg library offers citizenship classes

Citizenship classes will be held in January at the Schaumburg Township District Library's Hoffman Estates branch, and in March at the central library in Schaumburg.

Each 12-week class is free and will provide information to prepare students for the naturalization interview. Registration takes place in the first class of each session.

The winter classes will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and begin with registration on Tuesday, Jan. 13 in the Hoffman Estates Branch Library, 1550 Hassell Road.

Spring classes will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and begin with registration on Thursday, March 12 in the Adult Classroom of the Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

Citizenship classes offer instruction in the English language to prepare students for their naturalization interviews. Students should bring their green cards to the class.
