Volo Bog Winterfest
Volo Bog State Natural Area in Ingleside is hosting its annual Winterfest celebration from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11. Activities include a snow sculpting contest, winter nature crafts, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking and live music. Bog tours will be held every 45 minutes. The event is free, but suggested donations are $5 for an adult and $3 for child. Volo bog is at 28478 W. Brandenburg Road. Call (815) 344-1291 or visit dnr.volobog@illinois.gov.
