3 special Christmas gifts for Pa. couple: Triplets

HERSHEY, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania couple got three special gifts on Christmas: Triplets.

PennLive.com reports (http://bit.ly/146ypDS ) the babies arrived Thursday at a hospital in Hershey.

The newborns were two months early. They include a boy named Eoin (OH'-en) and identical twin girls named Claire and Avaree.

Parents Courtney Stash and Justin Dwyer of Myerstown say twins run in both of their families. But Dwyer says he was overwhelmed when doctors told him about their trio.

Stash says the girls, who weigh more than 3 pounds each, had virtually no health problems at birth. The boy, who weighs more than 4 pounds, needed some oxygen assistance but is OK now.

The chance of having triplets is about 124 per 100,000 births, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
