New Columbus model opens at Mayfair in Naperville

Homebuyers seeking an upscale townhouse may want to consider a visit to the Columbus model at Mayfair in Naperville where a scenic park setting and quiet walking paths will enhance your lifestyle.

The community by M/I Homes offers the Grant Park series with brick, stone and siding exteriors. Floor plans with large inviting living areas include basements. One plan offers a first-floor master suite designed for today's lifestyles.

"Naperville continues to be one of Chicago's most in-demand suburbs, and Mayfair was tremendously successful in its first phase in large part because new-construction options at this price point, in this location, are so hard to come by," said Ron Martin, region president for M/I Homes of Chicago.

Located at Route 59 and Henley Lane, between Ogden Avenue and 75th Street, Mayfair sits close to shopping, dining and the downtown Naperville train station with easy access to I-88 and I-355.

The Columbus floor plan is priced from $389,990 and features 2,110 square feet, two bedrooms, 2½ baths, a loft, English basement and two-car garage.

The decorated model features interior design by Mary Cook & Associates of Chicago. This home is targeted for empty nesters looking to downsize. Buyers may have key pieces of furniture they can nicely mix with new items in the open living area.

The Columbus model shows fresh colors of pale blues, corals and some of the greens - intentionally a little more vibrant - with cleaner, traditional furniture.

The stunning two-story foyer leads to an elegant living space where the great room features a fireplace, media center and plenty of seating, while an area rug brings color and texture to the space.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and white cabinetry that contrasts with the dark wood flooring. A large walk-in pantry helps the cook stay organized and cuts down on clutter. In the breakfast area, a round wood table is a great spot for coffee in the morning, while sliding glass doors lead out to the balcony.

The white cabinetry extends along the entire wall into the breakfast area where cubbies display dishware and store wine, and closed cabinets below offer more storage space. This helps make the whole living space look much more connected.

Upstairs, the loft offers a secondary living space, which is nice for visiting college kids to have room to do their own thing. Seating along with a refrigerator makes it the perfect place for watching a football game.

The generous-size master suite features a lounge area and a pale blue and green palette for a restful ambience. The tray ceiling treatment shows a lattice-inspired diamond pattern that adds some dimension to the space and makes the tray more noticeable. The luxury bath offers a tub and walk-in shower.

In the secondary bedroom, big bold color blocks create interest, help balance the wall space and make it more memorable. Pale grays, coral and neon coral speak to the younger, college-aged group.

Options for the second level include the ability to access the laundry room from the master bathroom or convert the loft to a third bedroom.

Other designs available in the Grant Park series at Mayfair include the Adams, priced from $279,990 with 1,550 to 1,723 square feet of space; the Buckingham, priced from $306,990 with 1,866 square feet; and the Dearborn, priced from $347,990 with 2,098 square feet.

To visit the Columbus model at Mayfair, travel south on Route 59 to Audrey Lane. Turn left on Audrey, then a left on Blakely Lane and a left again on Henley Lane. Continue until you arrive at the sales office on Henley.

The sales office is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Fridays, when hours are 1 to 6 p.m. For more information, call the sales center at (630) 360-9080.

The loft space in the Columbus floor plan can be used in a variety of ways, including a third bedroom.
The second phase of construction at Mayfair features the Grant Park series of townhouses, which includes four floor plans.
The master suite in the Columbus model features a lattice-inspired treatment to give the tray ceiling more definition.
The Mayfair townhouse community is located in a scenic setting around a small lake, and is close to downtown Naperville.
