Beethoven themed concert:

Acclaimed musicians Pablo Mahave-Veglia and Seth Carlin perform at 4 p.m. Sun., Jan. 4, at the Byron Colby Barn, 1561 Jones Point Road in Grayslake. This performance is part of the Early Music Series, featuring renowned musicians performing music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods. The performance also includes variations on themes by Mozart, including Beethoven's own set on an Aria from "The Magic Flute," as well as Helene Liebmann's "Grand Sonata," which closes with a set of variations on a theme from Don Giovanni. Admission is $18 at the door only via cash or check (no credit cards). Children under 16 are admitted free to all Early Music Series performances.
