DES PLAINES - The Emergency Nurses Association has named Linda L. Morris, Ph.D., APN, CCNS, FCCM, as Director of ENA's Institute of Emergency Nursing Education.

Morris is responsible for the management and oversight of ENA's educational programs, products and services including the Trauma Nursing Core Course, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, Geriatric Emergency Nursing Education and Course in Advanced Trauma Nursing.

Morris, an advanced practice nurse, brings more than 20 years of experience in clinical settings, education, research and academia. She most recently served as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Respiratory Care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and is a faculty member at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine.

"Linda's leadership and diverse experience will allow her to lead an Institute that has historically been recognized as the premiere teaching authority for emergency nursing and emergency care," said Kathy Szumanski, MSN, RN, NE-BC, ENA's Deputy Executive Director, Nursing. "We're in an excellent position to further evaluate and improve our products as our education programs continue to be sought after by emergency nurses and health care professional industry leaders worldwide."

Morris and her team will also facilitate the integration of new practice knowledge into education products based on developing evidence in the specialty. She will also focus on the growth and development of ENA's learning management system.
