Mother speaks at slain Chicago teen's funeral

The mother of a slain Chicago teenager spoke at his funeral, urging other parents to stand up for their children.

Delores Bailey made an emotional speech Saturday that brought people to their feet at a packed church in the city's Chatham neighborhood.

Her son, 15-year-old Demario Bailey, was shot to death last weekend. Prosecutors say his attackers were attempting to steal his jacket as he walked with his twin brother to basketball practice.

Authorities have charged four teenagers with first-degree murder.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Diana Rauner, the wife of Gov.-elect Bruce Rauner attended the funeral.

Pastor John Hannah challenged hundreds of teenagers during the service to make a commitment to survive, graduate and go to college.
