Make-A-Wish puts Washington teen on Chicago stage

Associated Press

CHICAGO - An 18-year-old girl from Washington state is getting the chance to live one of her dreams by acting in a production of "A Christmas Carol."

The Make-A-Wish Foundation says Sophia Ferazza is appearing in multiple roles in performances Friday and Saturday at Goodman Theatre.

Make-A-Wish says Ferazza is from University Place, Washington, just outside Tacoma. She has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

She said in a news release that she's excited but the reality of the opportunity hasn't quite hit her. She says being on stage gives her a feeling she hasn't had anywhere else.
