Build a gingerbread house in East Dundee Dec. 21

The holiday fun continues in downtown East Dundee with carriage rides, Visits with Santa and Gingerbread House Decorating on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. Come see the twinkling white lights and beautifully decorated downtown area while strolling from business to business.

Visitors can start their day with a horse-drawn carriage ride that seats four at The Depot, 316 N. River St., East Dundee from 4 to 8 p.m. Rides cost $10 per adult 12 years or older, with children under 12 permitted to ride at no cost.

Drop in after 4 p.m. Saturday to make your very own gingerbread house with a pre-made kit from Piece-A-Cake Bakery, 304 N. River St., East Dundee. Get a smile and snapshot with Santa from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Van's Frozen Custard and Burgers, just down the street at 16 E. Main St. For more information, contact Chad at (847) 836-8267.
