Northwest Bible Baptist offers 'A Christmas to Remember'

"A Christmas to Remember" is the title of the Christmas musical to be presented by the adult choir of the Northwest Bible Baptist Church of Elgin Sunday, Dec. 21, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Interwoven among the specially-arranged choir selections is an originally-written, modern-day story of a hardhearted CEO of a prosperous export company in New York, still embittered over a childhood tragedy she caused that took the life of her parents, and how God used the faith of a girl from an orphanage run by her missionary brother in Romania to soften her heart and seek forgiveness - and salvation - from the Lord.

This special Christmas musical drama will be held in the auditorium of the church, 9N889 Nesler Road, Elgin. The performance is free.

Northwest Bible Baptist Church celebrated its own 40th anniversary earlier this year. Its pastor of more than 32 years is Dr. Keith Gomez. Among its many ministries are a prekindergarten to 12th grade Christian academy (Northwest Baptist); a Bible college (Providence Baptist); a summer camp (Cedar River Baptist); an addiction ministry (Reformers Unanimous); and a fleet of 12 charitable Sunday school buses it runs for underprivileged children.
