Audition for Schaumburg Park District's 'Alice'

The Schaumburg Park District is searching for talented performers for Disney's "Alice in Wonderland, Jr."

Join Alice's madcap adventures in Wonderland as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with the Tweedles, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game. Parts for "Alice in Wonderland, Jr." are available for ages 7 to 20.

"The district is really looking forward to putting on this performance," said Beth Waller, cultural arts supervisor. "The show will feature classic songs from the original film and the costumes are going to look wonderful."

Auditions will be held 5:30-7:45 p.m., Jan. 8, at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. All interested performers must provide a nonreturnable head shot (or school photo) marked with name, age, address and phone number. All auditioning will perform a short a cappella song.

Cost is $70 if cast. Additional costume fee may be charged.

Not sure if you will get the part? Improve audition techniques during an Audition Workshop from 10 a.m. to noon, Jan. 3, at the Pat Shephard Center, 421 N. Springinsguth Road.
