Police: Milwaukee woman fatally strangled sister
MILWAUKEE - Authorities have charged a Milwaukee woman who they say fatally strangled and suffocated her sister during an argument at their home.
Authorities said Monday that Marcia Render is charged with second-degree reckless homicide and strangulation. The 51-year-old faces up to 31 years in prison if convicted of both charges.
Police arrested Render last week in the Dec. 9 death of 52-year-old Sheri Head. They say Render called 911 at least eight times during the argument because Head was breaking her things. Police say Head could be heard yelling in all of the calls expect the last one.
Police say Render admitted that she pinned Head down and waited for officers, causing Head to pass out. Responders were unable to revive her a few minutes later.
Online court records didn't indicate an attorney.
