School candidate lottery:

Lake County Clerk Carla N. Wyckoff will conduct a public lottery on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 10 a.m. in the main lobby of the Lake County Courthouse and Administrative Complex, 18 North County St., Waukegan. The lottery will determine the order candidates' names will appear on the April 7 ballot. Several school board candidates were in line at the Lake County Courthouse when filing opened Dec. 15. Those candidates are considered simultaneous filers and the lottery will determine their spot on the ballot. A current candidate list is available at LakeCountyClerk.info under "News and Dates" and will be updated as new candidate information becomes available.
