Woman pleads guilty to stalking Cubs' Theo Epstein

CHICAGO - A woman has been placed on probation for two years after pleading guilty to stalking Chicago Cubs President Theo Epstein.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that 47-year-old Kathleen Kearney pleaded guilty but mentally ill to one count of stalking Epstein as part of a plea agreement on Monday. Cook County Judge Michael McHale also ordered that Kearney be monitored by GPS while she is on probation and ordered that she never have any contact with Epstein. She is now undergoing mental health treatment where she lives in Massachusetts.

Kearney was arrested after flying from Massachusetts where she lives to Chicago and driving to Epstein's home on the city's North Side in July of 2012. Before coming to the Cubs, Epstein was general manager of the Boston Red Sox.
