GreenRoom Improv signs on for extended stay at Hemmens

Elgin, IL - GreenRoom Improv has extended its stay as resident improv group at The Hemmens Cultural Center through December 2015!

For over 14 years GreenRoom has been performing their unique, family-friendly improv show for thousands of people both old and young alike and they will continue to hold the popular First Fridays Improv each month at the Hemmens' lower level 200-seat Cabaret Theater in the Round.

Imagine an hour and a half of complete improvisation, a la "Whose Line is It Anyway?"

GreenRoom's improvisers take audience suggestions and true-life audience stories and turn them into hilarious theater pieces right before their eyes! With competing improv teams, improvised songs and audience members on stage, this clean, high-energy show brings the laughs to The Hemmens. Oh, and did we mention there's live music?

Shows are the first Friday of the month February through December 2015 at 8 p.m. (excluding July and August). Show dates are: Feb. 6, March 6, April 10 (2nd Friday in April), May 1, June 5, Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4.

General admission tickets are $12 or $10 for students and seniors. There is a 15-percent discount for groups of 20 or more.

The Hemmens Cultural Center, located at the corner of Symphony Way and North Grove Avenue in Elgin, is easily accessible from I-90. Driving directions are available at www.hemmens.org. Parking is free.
