How can Obama bypass Congress?
Many years ago when I was in high school we were taught in Civics and Government that there were and are three branches of government with different powers.
What has happened to the separation of power between the Legislative, Executive and Judicial branches of our government? It would seem that a man who was a professor of Constitutional Law would know how this is to work. Well, actually, President Obama in the past has stated that he did not have the power to take the action that he has taken.
When did the president receive powers to bypass the Congress and make laws? Do we have a president or a emperor? The president's actions weaken the Constitution and the fabric of our nation. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Regardless of how one feels about immigration, we do have immigration laws and as with all laws there is an expectation that both citizens and immigrants are subject to these laws. When laws are treated lightly or ignored, we all lose.
We, as ordinary citizens, should be concerned about the actions of our elected officials.
