Celebrate the miracle of Christmas at St. Catherine of Siena

The faithful are welcome to the preparation and celebration of the miracle of the Christ child's birth and the New Year's Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee and St. Mary in Gilberts.

"By centering on Christ, let us strengthen our families, parish and community by gathering together this Christmas for the peace and tranquillity of Confession and Holy Mass," said the Rev. Edward Seisser, pastor at St. Catherine of Siena Church.

In preparation of Christmas, the Sacrament of Penance (confession) will be offered at St. Catherine of Siena Church on Monday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 a.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 5:15 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 20 at 8:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.; and Monday, Dec. 22 at 7:30 a.m. Confession will be offered at St. Mary, Gilberts on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 8:30 a.m. and Monday, Dec. 22 at 6 p.m.

Mass schedules for St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee are:

The Vigil of Christmas - Christmas Eve on Wednesday, Dec. 24

• No 8 a.m. Mass

• 4 p.m. Mass with Adult Choir Concert at 3:45 p.m.

• 6 p.m. Mass with Music Prelude at 5:45 p.m.

• midnight Mass (with incense) with Music Prelude at 11:30 p.m.

The Nativity of the Lord - Christmas Day on Thursday, Dec. 25

• No 7:30 a.m. Mass

• 9:30 a.m. Mass with Music Prelude at 9:15 a.m.

• 11:30 a.m. Mass with Music Prelude at 11:15 a.m.

Feast of the Solemnity of Mary, Holy Mother of God - Holy Day of Obligation

• Wednesday, Dec. 31 on New Year's Eve - 5:15 p.m. Vigil Mass

• Thursday, Jan. 1 on New Year's Day - 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Mass

• The Nativity of the Lord - Christmas Day on Thursday, Dec. 25 - 9 a.m. Mass

St. Catherine of Siena Church is located at 845 W. Main St. (Route 72) in West Dundee. St. Mary is located at Matteson Street and Galligan Road in Gilberts.
