Donate to Salvation Army's Toys For Kids program

The Salvation Army's annual Jim Wheeler Toys For Kids program is once again in full swing.

This program, which collects and distributes toys for the needy boys and girls of the Tri-City area is celebrating its 31st year. The program has been named in honor of the late Jim Wheeler who was the creator and driver behind this effort.

Once again, the program is asking for your support of this program for children at Christmastime. Needed are new unwrapped toys and games and monetary contributions to help make this Christmas a very special one. This program has had great success due to your support.

Drop off any unwrapped new toys at the Pottawatomie Golf Course, Pottawatomie Community Center, Baker Community Center, St. Charles City Hall, Norris Recreation Center, all District 303 grade schools, St. Charles middle schools, St. Charles East and North high schools, Geneva High School, Heartland Elementary School, Hosanna! Lutheran Church, St. Charles Public Library, Jersey Mikes-Geneva, Dick Pond Athletics, Arcada Theater, St. Charles Township office and at the Tri-Cities Salvation Army, 1710 S. Seventh Ave. in St. Charles. Toys and donations will be accepted through Sunday, Dec. 14.

Call the Toys For Kids hotline at (630) 715-6060 with any questions. Send checks to Tri-Cities Salvation Army-Toys for Kids at P.O. Box 3939, St. Charles, IL 60174. Money will be used to buy new toys.
