Culver's of Schaumburg toy drive benefits local hospital

Culver's celebrates this holiday season by giving back to the community. Throughout the Chicagoland area, more than 30 restaurant locations will be hosting toy drives for local hospitals. As a second-year initiative, Culver's continues its tradition of spreading holiday cheer.

Culver's of Schaumburg (1800 Wise Road has partnered with Alexian Brothers Women and Children's Hospital for its drive that will see all toy donations personally delivered by Team Members and mascot Scoopie in late December. Until then, the restaurant will be collecting new, unwrapped gifts for all ages.

"Culver's is proud to be a part of this collaboration that allows us to collect donations that will be delivered locally," said Culver's of Schaumburg owner Jim DiVerde. "It's special to know the toys will be given to children from our community who are going through a tough time right now."

To wrap up the drive, Culver's of Schaumburg will host a special family holiday fun night Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 5-8 p.m. Free kids meals will be offered to any child under 12 who brings in a gift. Santa will make a special visit along with Scoopie, and kids can make holiday ornaments at the craft table. The Culver's raffle wheel will give guests an opportunity to win prizes with a suggested spin donation; all proceeds will go toward buying more toys.
