Sign up for winter break camps at the Schaumburg Park District

Schaumburg Park District will offer a variety of camps to keep children learning, active and having fun during winter break.

Way Fun Winter Break Camp will offer field trips, games, art projects and gym time to children ages 6 to 12. Camp will be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Dec. 22, 23, 26, 29, 30 and Jan. 2 at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way. Sack lunches are required each day. Snacks will be provided.

Young Jedi will fight the Empire during Lego camps. Participants will build complex machines including X-Wings, R2-units and pod racers. Camp is for ages 5 to 7. Jedi Engineering is set for 9 a.m. to noon, Dec. 22 and 23 at the Community Recreation Center, 505 N. Springinsguth Road. Master Jedi Engineering will be held 1-4 p.m., Dec. 22 and 23 at the Community Recreation Center.

Little adventurers will explore Spring Valley through the Spring Valley Winter Camp. Campers will track animals, look for birds, experiment with snow and snowshoe. Camp is for ages 7 to 12. Camp will be held 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Dec. 22-23 and Dec. 29-30 at the Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road.

Other exciting winter camps include chess, strategy games, dance/poms and Legos.
