Local Student Succeeds at Illinois State University
Elisabeth Rill, Long Grove, is serving as the Program Director for Illinois State University's student radio station, WZND.
As the Program Director, Rill, is in charge of managing the overall sound of WZND; managing, training, hiring, and evaluating a staff of 31 Deejays; as well as overseeing four specialty shows and leading a team in the execution and fulfillment of remote broadcasts. She is also a Deejay. Rill serves on the Management Council for WZND, which is the central decision-making board for the station. This is Rill's eighth semester at WZND.
Before becoming Program Director, Elisabeth was Assistant Program Director, and has been a Deejay for several semesters.
Rill also currently holds a Deejay position at 107.7 The Bull in Normal, IL. She was chosen recently as one of the top 4 Best DJs in the nation through College Broadcasters, Inc. (CBI).
Rill, daughter of Lynn and Andy, graduated from Carmel Catholic High School in 2010. She plans to graduate from Illinois State University in December of 2014 with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology.
