Night life: Shaw's serves up Pearl beer

Shaw's Pearl beer

Shaw's Crab House partnered with Goose Island to brew a commemorative beer for its 30th anniversary. That beer is Pearl, designed to pair with Shaw's seafood menu, in particular the oysters. An American-style lager, Pearl is known for its medium body and malty, mildly fruity flavor, with a touch of salinity and minerality from using oyster shells in the brewing process, as well as subtle citrus flavor from the use of roasted lemon peel. Available through early 2015 for $7 per pint at both Shaw's Crab House locations.
