Have we forgotten Pearl Harbor?

On Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941, I listened to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt speak the words "a day which will live in infamy." Following that, "remember Pearl Harbor" became the prime slogan of World War II.

On Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, I searched the two major Chicago-area newspapers I receive for stories commemorating that famous day. I was embarrassed to find none.

Apparently the date has not lived in infamy, and "remember Pearl Harbor" is just another slogan of the past. Apparently the 2,400 servicemen and women who died that day have also been forgotten.
