Taxpayers subsidized dining at COD

It has been revealed recently that the members of the College of DuPage Board dine together, at taxpayer expense at the subsidized restaurant owed by COD, immediately before every meeting. No one believes that they do not discuss the upcoming public business there. Such discussions are blatant violations of the Open Meeting Act.

That is just another reason none of the three trustees whose terms are expiring deserves to be re-elected.

Let us hope that there are candidates running against them, so the public can elect a group that will stop all the nonsense going on there. It is easy to become a candidate; only 50 signatures are needed, but the deadline for filing is just two weeks away.

All the forms necessary and information on how to run for also all the other school, city, village, park, library and fire board offices can be downloaded from www.CitizenAdvocacyCenter.org.
