Meet Kaneland superintendent candidates

The Kaneland school district plans to introduce two finalists for superintendent to students and district residents this week.

The school board met Monday night to select the finalists.

One candidate will visit schools and meet students and staff Wednesday and the other will visit Thursday.

From 4:15 to 5 p.m. each day, the candidates will meet with residents in the library at Kaneland High School, Keslinger and Meredith roads, Maple Park.

Participants may write questions on index cards, which a moderator will then pose to the candidates. Participants will also be asked to fill out an input form.

Comments can also be posted on the district's website, under "superintendent search," at kaneland.org/content/superintendent-search#feedback.

The school board intends to pick a superintendent at its Dec. 15 meeting.

Kaneland has been without a superintendent since the end of August. The former superintendent, Jeff Schuler, quit to become superintendent of Wheaton Warrenville District 200.
