Energy assistance available in Lake County
Lake County residents can apply for winter energy assistance at the office of the Community Action Partnership of Lake County, 1200 Glen Flora Ave. Waukegan. The office is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Bring proof of the gross income of all household members for the 30-day income period beginning with the date of the application, copies of current heat and electric bills, a copy of the rental agreement (if applicable), proof of Social Security numbers for all people in the household, and proof of any other assistance received from the Illinois Department of Human Services.
