  Malea Thornton, of Naperville, works at getting a good photo during the annual Shades of Crimson Poinsettia Display at Cantigny Park in Wheaton on Tuesday. Visitors were able to see 3,000 plants and 17 varieties of poinsettias in full bloom. Plants were available to purchase. Half of the poinsettias will go to the Rotary Club of Central DuPage, which uses them for fundraising. Others will be on display throughout the Cantigny estate.   A group of South Elgin High School students, including Janese Bibbs, 17, left center, and Bridgette Williams, 16, both with signs, organized a walk Thursday afternoon in support of Black Lives Matter - a national movement supporting equal treatment of all minorities in the eyes of the law.   Park supervisor David Thornborough works on the lights of the star as employees of the Libertyville Parks Division begin putting lights on the Christmas tree at Cook Memorial Park. The day was frigid, with temperatures in the low teens when I noticed the workers stringing lights, especially this guy 30 feet in the air in a cherry picker. I shot from almost directly underneath and waited for the moment when I could see his face as he replaced the light.
